How do I sign up for Meetingz?
Starter, Founder, Founding Member, Professional, and Premium are self-serve — see [Signing Up for Meetingz] for the full walkthrough. Business and Enterprise aren't self-serve; contact our sales team, and your account will be set up for you.
How does the free trial work?
The 14-day free trial applies to self-serve signups only — Starter, Founder, Founding Member, Professional, and Premium (see [Signing Up for Meetingz]). Every self-serve account starts with a 14-day free trial on the tier you selected. You get full feature access during the trial, but recording hours and Ask Your Meetings (Chat) usage are limited to [CONFIRM: 50%] of your plan's normal monthly allotment for those two weeks. On day 15, your payment method is charged automatically and you move to full, unthrottled usage — the reduced trial metering never applies again. Business and Enterprise accounts, set up by our sales team, don't go through a trial — they start directly on their subscribed tier.
What happens if I don't upgrade or cancel during the trial?
If you don't cancel, your card is charged automatically on day 15 and your subscription begins. If you cancel before then, you're not charged, and your account drops to the FREE tier instead.
What is the FREE tier?
FREE isn't a plan you can sign up for directly — it's the state your account lands in if you cancel during your trial, or downgrade away from every paid tier. It's quite limited: 1 Teamspace, 1 member per Teamspace, 5 recording hours per month, no Ask Your Meetings (Chat) access, and a fixed 31-day retention period. You do keep access to your own past recordings and transcripts on FREE.
What plans does Meetingz offer?
Six paid tiers, from entry-level through Enterprise: STARTER, FOUNDER, PROFESSIONAL, PREMIUM, BUSINESS, ENTERPRISE — plus the FREE landing tier described above, and a limited-time Founding Member offer (Professional-tier features at the Founder price point, with one Teamspace instead of Professional's two). See the Plans page for current pricing and features on each paid tier. Starter through Premium (plus Founding Member) are self-serve; Business and Enterprise require contacting our sales team — see [Signing Up for Meetingz].
What's the difference between monthly and annual billing?
Annual billing saves 18% compared to paying month-to-month. Switch between billing cycles on the Plans page.
How do I upgrade my plan?
Go to Billing & Plans → Plans, find the plan you want, and click Upgrade. Follow the prompts to confirm and complete payment. Upgrades take effect immediately, and the remainder of your current billing period is prorated.
How do I downgrade my plan?
Go to Billing & Plans → Plans and click Downgrade on a lower-tier plan. Review the confirmation carefully — downgrading may remove access to features you currently use. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel from the card for your active subscription on the Plans page, or via Change plan on the Billing page. Confirm when prompted.
What happens to my account when my subscription ends?
Whether your trial simply doesn't convert, or an active paid subscription is canceled and runs out its billing period, your account moves to the FREE plan — you keep access, you are not locked out. Free plan limits then apply: recording hours, Teamspaces, and other quotas move to the FREE allowance, and your retention policy resets to FREE's 31-day default, even if you had a longer period configured (download anything you need to keep before your billing period ends).
A few things you'll see reflect this accurately:
The Plans page reflects reality. Your lapsed plan is no longer marked as "Your current plan," every plan is available to purchase, and a notice explains the state you're in.
Your Billing page shows the history — your previous plan, the date it ended, and a clear path to choose a new one.
Features your current plan doesn't include — such as Chat, on plans where it isn't available — are hidden rather than failing when you try to use them.
If you re-subscribe, it works end to end and restores your plan's limits and features across your workspaces.
(Canceling during your 14-day trial is different: you drop to FREE immediately, at no charge, rather than at the end of a billing period.)
How do I update my payment method?
Click Manage billing on the Billing page. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can update your payment details.
Where can I find my invoices?
Click Manage billing on the Billing page to open the Stripe portal. Invoices are available there for download.
What usage does Meetingz track?
Three metrics: Teamspace Count, Recording Hours, and Ask Your Meetings (Chat), each tracked per Teamspace with a Buy more option once you're close to your included allowance.
What is auto-refill?
Auto-refill automatically purchases additional recording hours when your Teamspace's balance runs low. It's on by default and can be toggled in Teamspace Settings → Billing.
What are add-ons?
Add-ons let you purchase additional capacity beyond your base plan. Currently available: Additional Teamspace, $99/mo each, at the account level. Teamspace-level add-ons apply to specific Teamspaces only and are shown on the Billing page once available.
Who do I contact with billing questions?
Email the Client Care team at support@meetingz.ai — see [FAQ — Account Management] for other ways to reach them.
