What is Chat?

Chat (currently BETA) is an AI-powered interface that lets you ask questions about your meeting content in plain language. It searches across transcripts from all recorded meetings in your Teamspace and returns answers with references to the source meetings, shown in a collapsible Sources block you can expand to verify.

How do I access Chat?

Click Chat in the left navigation bar under Meetings. Before you've asked anything, you'll see three example prompts to get started with: "What did we decide about the timeline?", "Summarize action items from last week", and "Who owns the launch checklist?"

What kinds of questions can I ask?

You can ask anything related to your meeting content. For example:

• "What were the key decisions from last week's team meeting?"

• "What did [person] say about the Q3 roadmap?"

• "Which meetings covered [topic]?"

• "Summarise all discussions about [project] in the last month."

How does Chat know what to say?

Chat uses the transcripts from your Teamspace's recorded meetings as its knowledge source. It does not draw on information from outside your Meetingz.ai data. Responses are grounded in your actual transcripts.

Does Chat make things up?

Chat is designed to only draw on content from your transcripts. If it cannot find relevant content for your query, it says so plainly rather than fabricating an answer — for example, "The retrieved context does not contain a clear decision or outcome related to your question," typically still showing whatever sources it did consider.

What meetings can Chat access?

Chat can access all meetings in your Teamspace that have been fully processed and have a transcript. Meetings without transcripts (e.g., failed recordings) are not included.

Does Chat have access to meetings from other Teamspaces?

No. Chat only draws on data from your current Teamspace. If you need to query meetings from a different Teamspace, switch to that Teamspace first.

My Chat response cited the wrong meeting. What should I do?

Open the cited meeting directly via the link in the response's Sources block to verify the source. If the response is inaccurate, try rephrasing your question with more specific details (dates, names, topics) — matching a meeting's exact title works better than a paraphrased or generic description of it.

Is my conversation history saved?

No, your conversation history is not saved. Your Chat history is maintained for your current live session — you can navigate to other tabs and come back without losing it. But it clears if you refresh the page or log out.

Can I share a Chat response?

Not at this time.
