Managing Billing & Plans Overview

Modified on Wed, 12 Aug at 4:34 PM

This guide covers your 7-day trial, how to review your current plan, change plans, manage payment details, and understand your usage.

Your 7-day trial

Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial on the tier you selected at signup:

  • Full feature access — every capability feature on your selected tier is available, unrestricted.

  • Metered usage is reduced during the trial. Recording hours and Ask Your Meetings (Chat) queries are available at 25% of your plan's normal monthly allotment — the trial is roughly a quarter of a month, so you get roughly a quarter of the monthly amount. A plan with 80 recording hours per Teamspace per month gives you 20 trial hours per Teamspace, for example.

  • Day 8: your payment method is charged automatically, and your account converts to full, unthrottled allotments from that point forward. The trial's reduced metering never applies again.

  • Cancel before day 8 and you won't be charged — your account drops to the FREE tier instead (see "What happens if I cancel" below).

Viewing your current plan

Go to Billing & Plans → Billing to see your active subscription, including:

  • Plan name and price

  • Billing cycle (monthly or annual)

  • Subscription status

  • Next renewal date

Changing your plan

Upgrading

  1. Click Change plan on the Billing page, or navigate directly to Billing & Plans → Plans.

  2. Use the Monthly / Annual toggle to choose your preferred billing cycle — annual saves 18%.

  3. Find the plan you want and click Upgrade.

  4. Follow the confirmation steps.

Upgrades take effect immediately, and the remainder of your current billing period is prorated.

Downgrading

  1. Navigate to Billing & Plans → Plans.

  2. Click Downgrade on the lower-tier plan.

  3. Review the confirmation carefully — downgrading may remove access to features currently in use.

Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Managing payment details

Click Manage billing on the Billing page to open the external billing portal (Stripe). From there you can:

  • Update your credit card or payment method

  • Download invoices and receipts

  • View your full billing history

Understanding usage

The Usage section on the Billing page tracks three metrics: Teamspace Count, Recording Hours, and Ask Your Meetings (Chat) — each per Teamspace, with a Buy more option once you're close to or past your included allowance.

Auto-refill

Auto-refill of recording hours is available at the Teamspace level (Teamspace Settings → Billing) and is on by default. When enabled, additional hours are purchased automatically when your balance runs low.

Add-ons

Add-ons let you purchase additional features or capacity beyond your base plan, split between account-level and Teamspace-level:

  • Account add-ons — applying across the whole account.

  • Teamspace add-ons — apply to specific Teamspaces only.

What happens if I cancel

  • Cancelling an active paid subscription: your plan's features remain active through the end of your current billing period. At the end of that period, your account reverts to FREE — and your retention policy resets to the FREE plan’s 31-day default, even if your prior plan had a longer retention period configured. It is advisable to download anything you want or need to keep before your billing period ends.

  • Cancelling during your 7-day trial: you're not charged, and your account drops to FREE immediately.

Before cancelling: Review your retention settings (Teamspace Settings → Retention) and download anything you'll need, given retention shortens to 31 days once you're on FREE.
