What determines my bot's email address?
By default, every Teamspace's bot email follows the pattern [acronym]_[teamspace name]@scribe.meetingz.ai, built from your account's Acronym (Branding → Account information) and the Teamspace's name. Spaces in the Teamspace name are automatically converted to underscores, since they aren't valid in an email address. See [Branding] for where to set your Acronym.
When is my bot's email address generated?
The moment a Teamspace is created — see [Teamspaces]. It uses whatever Acronym is set on your account's Branding page at that time.
I changed my Acronym, but my bot's email address didn't update. Why?
Changing your Acronym only affects bots created afterward — it doesn't retroactively change the email address of bots that already exist. If you need an existing bot's email address changed, contact Client Care (see [FAQ — Account Management]).
Can I use my own domain for bot email addresses instead of @scribe.meetingz.ai?
On Founding Member/Professional tier and above, yes — this is called a custom Hostname (Custom Scribe Email Suffix). See [Branding]. Setting it up requires coordination with the Meetingz team (MX DNS configuration); email support@meetingz.ai to get started, and confirm the setup is complete before relying on the new address.
Can I run all of Meetingz on my own domain, not just the bot's email?
Not yet. A full custom domain (white-label) option — covering your entire Meetingz environment, not just the bot's email suffix — is built into our architecture and will be available on our highest-tier plans once it ships. A dedicated article will cover it at that point.
Does my bot's naming or email format vary by role or Teamspace?
No. Every Teamspace gets exactly one bot, auto-provisioned at creation, following the same naming pattern — see [Teamspace Settings — Bots].
