Be Explicit About Deadlines

Modified on Thu, 5 Mar at 12:21 PM

  1. “Soon” is not a deadline. “ASAP” is not a deadline. “Let’s try for next week” is not a deadline.

  2. Clarity is key, specifics are king. “By Thursday at 3 PM.”, “End of day Friday.”, or “Before the next meeting.” provide the needed information much better.

  3. AI notetakers are very good at capturing timeframes if they exist. Clarity in time reduces follow-up friction.
